So i just got my new EW 200 as my first IEM and my first impression is very good. It has very good build and the package come with 3 sets of eartips which is kinda nice. But the problem begins when i listen to some tracks, IT’S TOO SIBILANT like the s and t sound really piercing especially the s sound. I try to Eq it by lowering the 7k hz by -9 db and it’s still really bright for me. Is it bc I’m treble sensitive? or mine hadn’t burn in yet? and is there any way that i can fix this plz help i’m kinda disappointed since this is my first IEM and i hear a lot of good things abt it🥲

Dunno. Just got mine today. I don't really get any sibilance more so than the treble can be a little piercing due to the brightness if you aren't used to it but I think the default tips don't really do this IEM justice, it sounds absolutely pristine with my Dunu S&S tips and a bit sloppy with the defaults. Maybe I'm not getting a good fit with them but with proper tips these sound very VERY good. This set seems like it would be at home with a neutral-warm or warm dac/amp.

Thanks man maybe i need another pair of eartips cause my ear kinda small and i use the smallest tips, the detail retrieval is nice but the s sound is too distracting for me i use apple dongle and i play it pretty loud.

Tip fit and seal is important. The type of tip you use might also be important as some of them have different hole sizes which emphasize things like treble or bass. If the treble is already sounding hot for you, a smaller hole might help. Rolling tips might be something you will have to do until you have something you know that works (seals) for you AND sounds good. The other poster had a good idea with the mod kit suggestion but I'd first try and get your tip situation under control.

I dug out my Apple Dongle since you mentioned that was what you were using and paired it with this set. Did some J-pop and anime-esque songs for maximum ear rape. I didn't really find any sibilance or was just unlucky in my song selection but it almost seems like the Apple Dongle is unable to drive the EW200. What I mean is that plugging into my Dawn Pro, the bass hits harder and is not as soft sounding as it is on the Apple Dongle. I'm also finding that the Apple Dongle sounds a bit congested at times in comparison which harms the amount of detail I can retrieve. There are some songs that I simply didn't like the way how it sounded on the Apple Dongle, this would be Cats Eye (new take) by Anri. It was much easier on the ears with the Dawn Pro. I do my listening around 75dB.

I'm not saying the Apple dongle is not kennough but I'm not feeling the kennergy with it. Sorry, I've been dying to use some Barbie movie quotes, lol.

Hopefully you get your tip situation sorted out and it works for you, this is a really detailed and pristine sounding set but maybe not one for people looking for any sort of exaggerated bass.
