This seems like a pretty sweet deal. I’ve read only a little on these cans and the impression is that these are pretty fantastic. Do these have a specific purpose? Are they critical listening headphones? I’d like to learn more about them.

You can get them even cheaper from Sennheiser's AU site, using the code HONEYSAVE at checkout. Comes down to $1,619.10
