I want to buy ticket to a game for my husband for Christmas. He is a fan of Miami Heat, but it’s not possible to go to Miami atm. So, I was hoping I could find a game in the northeast that is playing and hopefully it won’t disappoint him too much.

The concern I have is that I don’t know how the game works and I’m worried that if I buy tickets for a game in January, the teams might not make it to that game and it will get refunded.

Would it be dumb of me to buy tickets 2 months in advance? Also, would you as a nba fan still want to watch a game if it wasn’t your team playing?

I would pick their February game @ New Orleans. CHEEEEEAAAAP tickets and it's freaking New Orleans! There's fun for any lifestyle there! Also, your room & board will be exponentially cheaper than the NE if you play it right.

Section 123, Row 19: $123 /ea: Link

I used Google Flights and found some quick cheap round trip fares for 2 people (beware Spirit and other budget airlines, you'll pay for everything not in the ticket fare).

Based on my initial search, I would try to book rooms at the Holiday Inn New Orleans. The Smoothie King Center is approximately 0.6 miles away from the Holiday Inn New Orleans Downtown Superdome. New Orleans was made for walking, get out and see the crazy people and cool sights!

Then, eat some Crawfish Etouffee while you're there for me please...

The Mavs (my team) and New Orleans have had two great games (1-1 for each team). Miami is legit and I wouldn't be surprised to see the players put on a show!
