As a companion to the "who is a player you don't get the hype for" thread, here is something more positive. Who is a player you feel is either disrespected, misunderstood, underrated, or straight-up maligned to an unfair degree?

My pick is THJ. Every single time I watch this dude play (usually against the Lakers) he looks like Prime TMac. He just gets to his spots, elevates, and knocks everything down with such a pure stroke. He seems unstoppable at times. And yet, I know Mavs fans constantly are disappointed with his inconsistent play, so maybe I am missing something with my few-and-far-in-between impressions.

Who else you got?

All of them. I don't know why people hate basketball players.

That's true too. For the record, I was defending Kyrie.

I didn't. World be flat is paid to play basketball not for his wisdom and smarts.... clearly. Absolutely reasonable to critique some of the shit he says.

LMAO, the irony

[–] Drag0nborn1234@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I mean there are plenty of reasons lmao multi millionaires behaving like manchildren, players trying to injure others, literal sexual predators

You don’t understand the hate for miles bridges?

[–] aBagorn@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

i think they mean they don't hate anyone for play on the court. off-court shit is fair game for hatred.

Sure, but basketball players aren’t reduced for their actions on the court. To make a blanket statement that you don’t understand why anyone hates any basketball player is wild considering we have domestic abusers in the league

oh yeah no arguments from me. if i were in that poster's shoes i would not have made that kind blanket statement.
