They are pretty cool tbh but the price is a yikes https://gamewithpixels.com/

It's the price you pay if you're the kind of idiot who has to get the super techy luxury version of something that works amazingly well and functions perfectly fine at $1.

Literally one of the cheapest parts of tabletop games, and 100% functional at less than a buck or two. It'll last your entire life too, if you're careful. If you make a fancy electronic version you can charge whatever the fuck you want because the person already decided they'll pay more than 100x what they need to for luxury they don't need.

What about trust? Simplicity is a feature because it increases trust. Trust that the dice are fair. Dice that are unnecessarily complex reduces that trust.

Wow. Saw the price and thought, "That's not bad, really." Then I realized that was for one die, not the whole set.

Actually comparable for a lot of specialty dice. Which do tend to be a lot.

The difference is that you don't have to replace your specialty dice after 2 years or so, because the battery died.

They are pretty expensive, but considering each die has to have Bluetooth capabilities and a way to detect the result so it can transmit it, I'm surprised they're not more expensive.

Looks very very cool and I am 100% certain after about 5 minutes of looking at it you had enough.

That is ridiculously gimmicky.
