When I was in the Army back in 2006 they found an old Staff Sergeant who left the service without concluding his paperwork, so they sent him back to the last active unit in his Brigade(Which was mine) so that he could do out processing/seperation paper work. I got to spend all week escorting a Vietnam vet around Fort Richardson and hearing about how "the good ol days" weren't as good as people think, and about having kids, grand kids, and so fourth. It was a real honor.
