In risk of being today's insane guy on the internet, a lot of wasp species are actually pretty docile and even friendly. I used to water and relocate mud daubers that got into my apartment and after about a year they started nesting on the south side of the apartment and scaring off the squirrels that would get into the crawlspaces. By the time I moved they'd come up to me if I was outside and either fly around me if they wanted something or land near by and rest.
