~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

Q created the Borg confirmed!
Q did not create the Borg. He only introduced the Federation to them.
The Borg were already on their way to Earth thanks to a bit of a bootsrap paradox (ST:FC they go back in time to the late 21st century & crash in the Arctic > they're thawed by United Earth Starfleet > they send a transmission to their hive in the Delta Quadrant taking over a century > the Borg send a Cube > that's the cube Picard encountered in J-25).
And the prevailing theory was Q flung the Ent-D there out of benevolence. Get the Federation to start preparing for both the Borg, and by extension the Dominion War. The entire fleet revamp was kicked off because of the disaster at Wolf-359, and most of the new class of ships were commissioned and deployed by the start of the Dominion War

Q was genuinely worried about the Borg. Apparently pushing them in the wrong direction would have caused a mess that even the Continuum wouldn’t be able to clean up.
She can handle it.
