Apple? The company who fucked with their users/customers phone batteries from afar so they would have to purchase new products? That Apple?

I'm constantly being told by Apple fanboys that Apple is the only pro consumer silicon valley company in operation.

In comparison to other mega corps? More or less yes.
Individually: Nope.

Whether Apple fan boy or a Maga representative, they both have an agenda that is a bit far from the truth.

That’s not actually what happened. It’s kind of the opposite actually.

No it's not. Apple failed to take battery degradation into account when designing their product, then tried to hide it surreptitiously while gaslighting their users.

The wording on the original comment was still extremely inaccurate. Apple didn't fuck with the batteries remotely. They throttled the SOC with a silent update, which technically even extended the battery life on phones with degraded batteries, it just happened to make them very slow in the process. So it's acurrate to say the opposite of the original comment was the case, even if Apple should still have installed sufficient batteries in the first place and/or informed their customers about the update before getting caught.

There are thousands of legitimate reasons to criticize Apple, we don't need to twist the facts. It just makes the criticism worthless to anyone that knows better
