It's the same two things that keep getting hashed out over and over again: Andy Yen publicly supported a trump-appointee who claimed to be hard on big tech (who ended up getting ousted for not kowtowing to Trump's bullshit, so Yen was right anyway), and the recent French right-winger who signed up for Proton's "partner program" which is open for literally anybody to sign up.
That's it. And this new Russian-cooperative shit has yet to have any actual sources given for the claims.
I'm convinced this is part of a smear campaign to rile up the idiots and discredit Proton (not saying they're perfect, but bullshit needs to be called out for what it is - bullshit). Proton is genuinely a very secure platform, they cannot read any of your shit as long as it's encrypted. They do not have the encryption keys for your shit. But like every other service provider, they still have to comply with local laws, which means if they're handed a valid subpoena for all the info they have on you, they are legally obligated to hand that over. End of story.
