he was only 12th in player votes in the East
He receives LESS player votes than he has teammates. Aka some teammates didn't vote for him

Team loyalty isn’t necessarily as strong in the NBA where a player can look at the other guards in the East and won’t be like “I’m voting for Kyrie or DeMar, love those guys” instead of voting for their teammate. It’s an interesting point but there’s a lot of noise here given all the cross team friendships and reputational effects.
