I'd consider that your best deal. Stalker is an amazing series.
For me it highly depends on the game on if I will wait patiently or if I want to make sure the devs work is supported well from the outset.
Stalker is actually one of those for me. Bought each one basically at launch. And got the fancy edition of Stalker 2.
But any game I'm unsure about I wait for super deep discounts anything 70+% off I'll consider pretty strongly. Under $10 also gets a lot of consideration.
Yeah, single digits are basically the turning point!
And yeah, I kind of wish I could experience it for the first time again; I can't bring myself to replay it, even with mods. I slogged through the unofficial 4th community mod Anomaly which had a lot of neat ideas, but could never finish it due to too many bugs. However, I would keenly watch someone else playing through it for their first time.
My taste in games has, I think, gotten pickier as I've gotten older... I can no longer return to many titles or even genres due to knowing what to expect, which fairly strongly fuels my patient-gaming stance...
