Looking for a solid headphone to run with a Fiio K5 or K7 this Black Friday. I’ve never experienced Hifi before.

Here’s what I need:

-Instrument separation and high resolution -Good Imaging for occasional FPS -Extremely deep bass extension for car and flight simulators (I absolutely love the low roar of vehicle engines). I’m talking single digit Hz lol -Below 500

The DT-1990, from my experience with it in gaming, is that it images really well with HRTF audio. As for your other need, deep bass extension, is where the 1990 will not deliver. It has good mid-bass, but not much in subbass, even with leather pads.

You may want to consider this item instead:

Hmm, I was going to suggest the Monoprice M1070 planars for $223 with current coupon, but they are OOS as of today. So are the AMT's.

You can also consider the Kennerton Magni. They use graphene dynamic drivers and deliver some good bass.
