Ford is set to become the first to use LFP batteries in a mainstream EV in the US, starting with its $30,000 midsize pickup.

That is debatable. Trucks work well, and for this a truck is much smaller since you don't need to fit it inside.

Finding a small truck is hard though, they haven't had them in the US in 20 plus years.
