In all seriousness, though, I am searching for an upgrade from my DT 990s (290 grams) and have heard fantastic things about the LCD-2 classic line. However, I have also heard horror stories and discourse amongst the forums from people who are not big fans of the weight.

What are some of your experiences with Audeze headphones, specifically regarding the weight? Does the adjustability and comfort make it less significant an issue than some people describe?

I also encourage those with 500+ gram headphones to say their thoughts.

You'll be fine, they're heavy but the weight on audezes are heavily overexaggerated

I think you'll do fine -- just tried my pair on with some anti-glare glasses and although the pads do press against the sides it's not noticeably uncomfortable. My head shape is almost perfect for Audeze headphones, though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
