Yeah, if part of your region suddenly gets turned into an ethnostate, then its gonna be hard not to have ethnic tensions arise. Show me any place in the world where ethnic cleansing by one group didnt lead to animosity against that group. Israels founding directly caused the expulsion of jewish people from those arab states, it didnt just happen for no reason.
