Isn't that an actual episode?
It might as well be
There's actually a ghost knife episode, so it's really close.
@Stamets@lemmy.dbzer0.com
It could also be Fringe TBH

Yeah you're not wrong. Walter off in the corner doing acid. Broyles accidentally eats it again. Astrid/Astrisk staring in babysitter. Observer walks by. Peter says "Fuck this I'm going home" and Olivia asking which one resulting in him staring at her longer.
God I miss that show.
Fringe was great when it was a mystery-of-the-week series. I lost all interest when it went into...whatever it was trying for in the last few seasons.
Same with the X-files, IMO
Like all Bad Robot productions. Mystery boxes are only interesting if you keep the lid on. That's why it's a really shortsighted writing style.
Eh, if you have a really good idea for mystery, and a really good plan for taking the lid off, it's actually very satisfying. If you didn't actually put anything in the mystery box then yeah keep the lid on; you can get by like that. But if there's actually something in there, and you have an exit strategy planned, it's basically peak media.
Ah, but who controls the lid???!!??
The government, and aliens.
Ah, but who is the guy in the place with the spooky music who knows about aliens???!???
Government dad.
Ah, but who is government mum???!!!!?? ... etc.
Matrioshka mystery boxes get dull after a while.
Right? Iean I can't remember anything really (should rewatch it) but u recall they've been trying to male it some big, huge, incredible thing
It's a Kurt Vonnegut short story
