Now that FSR 4.1 is available on the Steam Machine, Valve seems to have used it to update the store page to, well, temper expectations. Valve now claims that the CPU and GPU combo can do "up to 4K gaming with FSR 4.1," which is a much safer claim.

You'd be surprised how well some stuff can run. Doom 2016 can run comfortably at 4k on a GTX 1070 with graphics maxed out. Sure, you won't play a brand new AAA game with maxed out graphics at 4K, but if you make some compromises, you can go pretty far.
