In all seriousness, though, I am searching for an upgrade from my DT 990s (290 grams) and have heard fantastic things about the LCD-2 classic line. However, I have also heard horror stories and discourse amongst the forums from people who are not big fans of the weight.

What are some of your experiences with Audeze headphones, specifically regarding the weight? Does the adjustability and comfort make it less significant an issue than some people describe?

I also encourage those with 500+ gram headphones to say their thoughts.

I've had the LCD-2 since the LCD-3 was their flagship. It's not the weight that gets you. It's the clamping force. I love the sound, but I don't find them so comfortable for long listening sessions.
