I just commented about this on a post asking, “why wasn’t Alan Jackson more popular for how great he was” hahaha

My parents listened to country so growing up I heard a lot of 80s and 90s country and Alan Jackson was huge for a while. As far as country artists. I also grew up in Kentucky and Tennessee, so country is popular. Now country isn’t so niche because it sounds like pop rock.
