A ladder to heaven? That’s fucking stupid.

[–] truckguy724@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I remember laughing so hard my guts hurt when mr garrison said that

[–] lemonylol@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

OG Mr. Garrison was so funny. All of his responses are so cut and dry. I miss him being a perspective on the show.

[–] pamergatch925@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

What about Ms. Garrison

[–] Safe-Register-3479@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Or did you think it was.... KINDA GAY?

[–] ianwrecked802@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

[–] Big-Efficiency2489@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Where were you,

When they decided Heaven was a more intangible idea

And couldn't, you couldn't really.....get there?

[–] sathran337@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I just commented about this on a post asking, “why wasn’t Alan Jackson more popular for how great he was” hahaha

[–] Pleasant-Ticket3217@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

My parents listened to country so growing up I heard a lot of 80s and 90s country and Alan Jackson was huge for a while. As far as country artists. I also grew up in Kentucky and Tennessee, so country is popular. Now country isn’t so niche because it sounds like pop rock.

[–] sumpuertoricanguy13@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

[–] cinyar@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

...oh wow, I wanted to post a link to the original song but apparently:

As a reminder, videos are not permitted on this subreddit.

...I'd link "I thought this was America" video but it would get deleted...

Man I remember when that actual 9/11 song came out and people were eating it up. All I could think was how this much pandering on the back of a national tragedy made me feel a little queasy. So glad SP mocked it like this.

[–] Punkrocker80@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Write a song about it. Make it lame and gay

[–] Maniac112@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

The Japanese are building their own ladder to heaven and have reached the stratosphere

[–] jackinsomniac@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Lol back when the Japanese were producing all our electronics and people feared them taking over our economy the most. I guess nobody really foresaw the industrial capacity of China and American's hunger for cheap low-quality products.

[–] Xikkiwikk@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Japan was the Boogieman of the 80s.

[–] trievan@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

[–] supernaturalanaesthe@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

[–] lemonylol@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

[–] Winnin_Dylan_@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Saddam Hussain was in hell but then sent to heaven to be with Mormons as punishment 😭😭😭

[–] Punkrocker80@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

According to the US Government, Saddam Hussein is building a chemical weapons plant in Heaven which you can clearly see right here.

🎶“What would you dew…if you were asked to give up your life for freedom?” 🎶

[–] Punkrocker80@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I was too busy giving the lochness monster tree fiddy. I thought he was a Girl Scout.

[–] Punkrocker80@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Goddammit woman no wonder the monster keeps coming back if you gave it tree fiddy

[–] MastersJoyUniverse@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I thought he'd go away if I gave him a dollar.

[–] Punkrocker80@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Damnit woman of course he's not gonna go away if you give him a dollar

[–] Ok_Examination8252@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I was at home watching it.

[–] AppointmentLower9987@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Well. Theoretically not alive yet, two years before my time

[–] doc_blue27@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I visited New York for the first time last weekend. Admittedly had trouble not repeatedly singing this during our trip down to Ground Zero….
