God, I can't watch that episode without calling my dad after.
TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name
/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ **8. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

Good on ya, dude
I haven't watched DS9 in a long time. I don't have a dad to call anymore. Not sure how I'd feel if I watched it now.
I’m a dad, so you can call me.
I'm a dad too. But I can't call myself.
I can buy you a second phone if that would help.
Tony Todd needs to be in all the things. He is such a brilliant actor that I even looked forward to Kurn episodes, unlike any other Worf's family story lines.
cough Alexander cough
Must be coming down with something. Although, A Fistful of Datas is fun despite his presence.
How tf are you not on the https://startrek.website instance, these gifs are great
I have an alt account there I use when things go fuckey over here, but as for the communities, well let's just say I'm here for various reasons. Also, the gifs aren't mine. I just search and source as needed.
"We look for GIFs to make us go.
We are meme kings, now."
Gut-wrenching, puts you through an emotional wringer, and leaves you feeling empty inside.
Absolute masterpiece, would watch again, A+++++
My favorite episode of trek. I am basically incapable of watching it without being reduced to blubbering
S4E2
Thanks. Forgot to add that info as I've been doing lately.
Your post inspired me to go rewatch it...
The first time I saw it I was the son. Now, I'm the father.
Hits hard both ways.
Worfspeed my friend. Bring some tissues.
I need to actually give DS9 a proper watch. I've only seen scattered episodes out of order. I know that I've never seen this one.
It's not one that can readily be swept out of mind.
Phenomenal episode.
So, I’m not a big fan personally. Like, I get why people love it but it just doesn’t do anything for me. And I’m a dad to boot.
It's not for me either. I really do appreciate what the episode does, mechanically, with its storytelling. It just doesn't land for me. I'm glad so many people enjoy it.
It’s a straight ass episode and I totally never understood the praise. It’s not a skipper for me, but I’ll never rewatch it. It’s a completely middle of the road DS9.
