My annual Elf re-watch will be sad this year.

Yeah. His scenes in Big Bang Theory will land harder now, too.

Rest in Peace, Professor Proton.

And if I ever work up the nerve to try watching the Star Wars Christmas special again... well, that probably won't happen anyway.

Fuck me i thought he was immortal

Right? He'd ALWAYS just "been there"... Start watching something new and... Fuck me it's Bob!

"Hi. I'm Larry, this is my brother Daryl, and this is my other brother Daryl"

RIP Bob 😥

If you are under 60, you may not know who he is. Go watch the Bob Newhart show. The comedy is very sharp. Probably a major influence on The Office and that kind of humor.

I've seen him in a few things. Like The Librarian.

EDIT: I should have prefaced that I'm under 40.

I use to watch him on Nick at Nite when i was about 10. Even then, i greatly enjoyed his show. Also the Dick Van Dyke show was great.

Ah, thats why his face looked familar

for the uninitiated, the gag "alternative ending" of breaking bad was based on the finale of one of his shows. I'm sure there are other examples but that's the one that springs to mind

I feel like I'm the only one here that didn't know he was still alive.

RIP Bob
