I think the point of the meme is to imply that normal android will be snooping on you/taking your data.

Well I can't since my banking app requires a "secure environment".

Not sure where you're located/which bank but my banking apps work with lineageOS with microG. Seems to be a decent compromise between usability and security.

ING has no issue with rooted devices, but warns about the weakened security. If your account gets breached due to it, it's on your behalf.
