That will help them build a fuller marketing profile on you.

[–] catloaf@lemm.ee 10 points 1 month ago

They were already doing that. Now they just frame it as a benefit to you.

The same ways Google Now and Inbox before them? Can Google stop rebranding shit it already gave us and then took away?

PLEASE revive Inbox!

I've subscribed to Shortwave to help bundle and manage my emails, but it's not quite as clean as Inbox was.

They're already doing that

WeChat can do that too. And it also collects all "your" data, builds a profile on you and sells it, and gives it to a fascist regime to murder you and your whole family if they want. Hmmm.

I find it intrusive that when I have a reservation on my app for my business, Google need to tell me the same information, first-but incorrectly... it's ok I get the reservation, I do not need you to tell me the same information but wrong.

This is why my Gmail is for companies I don't give two fucks about. It's garbage spam and nothing more.

Fuck Google but the comments here clearly articulated this sentiment.

With their money and talent on deck, what has any these comoabies delivered recently?

Gmail should be one of the first apps you uninstall with the universal android debloatter.
