Here is this guy's highlight reel

  • Raided funds meant for firefighters and paramedics to bankroll his lavish lifestyle. Fancy cars, luxury vacations, designer clothes – even his child support.
  • Squandered millions in public funds while essential services were left to rot.
  • Used public money to grease the palms of Republican politicians.
  • Prioritized lucrative non-emergency transfers over life-saving 911 calls. Who needs a paramedic when there's money to be made?
  • Deprived emergency responders of vital equipment while his own "limousines" were chauffeured around.
  • Stole from his own dead brother's children.

Stole from his own dead brother's children.

I know the magnitude isn't as wide as the others. But this just feels like the shittiest thing out of the list.

So just like Trump then.

[–] buttfarts@lemy.lol 21 points 1 month ago

Yea that was my takeaway too. The consequences may not have been as wide spread as the others but as far as dick moves go it was kinda the worst one.

Using findings from a long-term Indiana State Police investigation, state prosecutors alleged Noel used millions of taxpayer dollars from the Utica Volunteer Firefighters Association and New Chapel EMS to buy cars, planes, vacations, clothing and other personal luxury purchases. Investigators said public funds were also used to pay for college tuition and child support.

how the fuck is a sheriff buying planeS, plural, and expecting no one to start wondering wtf

His prosperity indicates that he is a godly man whom has found favor with The Lord.

Love the picture of his lawyer... he's like the fuck is wrong with this piece of shit.

Pic reminds me of Kyle Rittenhouse

I see a resemblance, too.

Republican donor and a cop? Trump will pardon this guy and award him a Medal of Freedom.

Noel was originally charged with 31 felonies for allegedly misusing money from the fire and EMS departments which he oversaw. He pleaded guilty to 27 of those in August.

“Those are rookie numbers” - Donald Trump

Has he tried blaming Deep State Liberals yet?

[–] reddig33@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago

Is he crying? What an asshole. Only cries when it affects himself.

There's just simply no bottom to their depravity. Its as terrifying as it is infuriating. Michael Flynn is already ranting and raving about unleashing the gates of Hell lol. Thats probably something the Antichrist is supposed to say, if he were real

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago

Now he's fucking crying. I do not expect much from the regressive red run state of Indiana.

Noel led Holcomb’s campaign in 2016 and was part of his transition team.

And won't see a pardon from Holcomb (per a statement). Which is great. It's nice to see something too hot to touch.

But I won't assume Holcomb is a pillar of virtue who just coincidentally happened to have a criminal running their campaign...

Hopefully a valuable lesson to any other criminal cronies out there - loyalty upward is rarely returned.

This guy is presidential material, how did they let him slip away like that?

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 5 points 1 month ago

“It’s all my fault. … (My family) were victims of my deceit, like everyone else, and I hope they can forgive me,” Noel said before reciting a Catholic prayer.

Prayers are one of the stupidest ways to try to perform contrition.

Investigators said public funds were also used to pay for college tuition and child support.

Always with the child support scams. Plus forty cars. C'mon, man. You're trying to get caught at that point.
