I'm entirely willing to believe that some underpaid TSA grunt looked at the situation and said to themselves, "Oh, it's that guy again. Well, he's no longer making a fuss and he's not getting in a plane, so it's not my business" and walked off, leaving SovCit with a victory. I'm convinced half the "victories" are someone saying, "Oh, life's too short for this nonsense" and kicking the situation down the road in hopes someone else will have to handle the idiots.

Their approach is just to make themselves too much of a hassle to deal with, even if they don't realise it themselves.

It works until they come across someone who has the motivation and the authority to make their life difficult.

It's a version of being a Karen. All the entitlement, ten times the ignorance.

[–] EleventhHour@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago

Yeah, it’s not really their business. That would be a matter for local police.

I don't know, I 100% believe they let their autistic child wander off by being neglectful.

Any TSA checkpoint I've been through is a complex maze. No way their child made it through the checkpoint and I doubt they were able to backtrack without being noticed. This person missed their flight because of the phoney baloney ID they tried to use.

I didn't necessarily mean at an airport.

And then everyone clapped!

[–] krelvar@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

Dang, I was wondering why I clapped the other day. Good to know.

Also, the TSA are not cops. If they need to have you arrested they’ll call the actual cops.

That's a lot of words for "I don't know what the FAA is or does"
