/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

It may have its flaws, but I feel that ENT is often overlooked in the meme circuit, and I"m doing my part lol

Dead Stop is definitely one of its top-shelf episodes, too.

It's irksome that we never find out the species responsible for the repair station/mind harvester. Given the level of tech at hand and being in the Alpha Quadrant, we can't necessarily presume it's one of the Progenitor offshoots. Just doesn't really fit any of the known groups. There's plenty of malicious factions from the Delta, but this halfway benevolence is confounding.

I so want one of the newer series to revisit that.

What we know about it:

  • It's at least ~690 years old (c.a. 2151) since one of the captives is a Vaadwaur (if not that, then it implies some of the Vaadwaur were active in the Alpha quadrant while the rest were in stasis on their home planet back in the DQ)
  • It rebuilt itself after Archer had it destroyed
  • Disregarding the fact production re-used an Exocomp prop, the way it operates by replicating parts/tools on demand at the end of its manipulators is strikingly similar to how Exocomps operate.

Did Dr. Farallon come into contact with the station, and/or could the Exocomps be descended from it? Or, perhaps, did the Tyrans create it, and all that tech originates with them?

Yeah, they've got some 'splaining to do because I want to know more about that station.

It’s working. I’m itching for a rewatch after seeing all the memes in the last couple of days!

If you're like me, and don't want to go through the hassle of figuring out stardates in every episode... There's the Star Trek Chronology Project that has already done that for us! It's not completely up to date, I think the last update was Nov 2023, but the stuff released after that is basically in order anyway by series at least.

How can he be following the lead of an augment that isn’t yet born?
