I'm so pissed that I started the romance with Lae'zel instead of Karlach - I find the latter fucking charming.
I completely missed the Act 1 blacksmith opportunity with Karlach - I found her after the party night so she wasn't there either. Now I have a bond with Lae'zel, despite her mostly staying at camp. 😥
Every time I long rest I try to see if the option to romance karlach is there and every time I weep

I've finished one play through of BG3. The description for her made it sound like a rough fight so I snuck up and blasted her to smithereens.
I only found it she was a companion in act 2. Way too late to roll back.
That's an awesome story for your first run though. I like hearing about messy and less optimized runs.
I love this about the game. I got Gale only in my third run, as I didn't trust the magic circle in my first one.
Classic D&D epic background for a level 1 character. If I ever get to play tabletop again my Plan is to be a bridge tollbooth collector who swears an oath of vengeance on the people who just run past without paying and make fun of him. Tollbooth Willy
His brother, Mikel Williamson, seemed to have a similar issue when he ferried people across the black sea. It's especially egregious because of how advanced his boat is. A one of a kind steam propelled boat.
To be fair, it's implied that both her and Wyll were nerfed by the tadpoles. She probably also because she's out of the hells and her engine acts up.
Have you seen her in combat though?
Yeah, the one on the right is her when pissed off or in combat or, as is most often the case, pissed off while in combat 😁
