Vamos Jamesito!!!!

[–] LKDC@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

James with his club: 😴 James with the NT: 😡

[–] demu24@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

No de nuevo

[–] PixelatedSuit@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

We've been poor but seeing Santi and James link up was crazy

[–] Shaded-Haze@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Honestly, Falcao was already in decline at that point. No disrespect, I think he probably had the highest high.

[–] lettersputtogether@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Already in decline during the 2014 qualfiers? what?

[–] miguel_is_a_pokemon@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

For me when you say best ever Colombian player, their performances at the National player are front and centre. It's not like James is short on goals and assists considering he's not a striker.

[–] juankg217@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Well, third highest scorer in the conmebol qualifiers for brazil, and 1/3 of the total goals for Colombia, with 5 points difference between us and 5th place who know what might have happened

[–] SortOfHorrific@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

lol except for the back to back europa leagues he won ? what are you on

[–] af_1946@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He didn’t have to, and the fact that James had to be top goalscorer in the sports biggest tournament to even be in the conversation shows how great Falcao is.

[–] nico_cali@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Because of his clubs he was only able to really show it in Europa League but he did amazing there

[–] SandThatsKindaMoist@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Hes so slow but he's still got it

[–] EngineTrack@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Has never relied on speed though, pure class.

Now that's the name I haven't heard in a while

[–] pixelkipper@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

falcao had an even higher peak

[–] luizmcorrea1@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

SÃO PAULO FUTEBOL CLUBE

[–] GreatSpaniard@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If he didn't get injured I would agree

[–] Andrex316@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Uruguay with the flashbacks 😩

[–] tweazz@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Still got it

[–] EngineTrack@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Was quite decent until Kovac came on. Then again, no one looked good under Kovac.

[–] Rickcampbell98@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Absolute animal, he was well regarded in those days but if you put that falcao in a super team like man city these days people would be talking about him like haaland or lewy a few years ago.

[–] nutelamitbutter@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Not bad at all

[–] lolaya@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I love Falcao and put him above James, but colombia was not in danger imo of not qualifying without falcao

[–] pixelkipper@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Definitely the eye test too he was a beast

[–] GreatSpaniard@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

James doing what he did in Brazil and then qualifying us to Russia almost single handedly says otherwise. if he doesn't get injured in Russia, Colombia makes semifinals

[–] Imzocrazy@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

How to traumatize a Uruguayan…just whisper softly into their ear….James

[–] Rickcampbell98@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

What a crying shame that was, had a good resurgence at Monaco but never was the same "el tigre" what an absolute monster in his prime.

[–] zenug91@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Cuadrado isn't on this team hasn't been called up these qualifiers.

[–] Shaded-Haze@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Imma be the annoying one:

Colombian*

[–] lettersputtogether@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

[–] miguel_is_a_pokemon@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Falcao never got to really show it in the important tournaments, that makes a big difference

[–] emre23@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He missed the WC with an ACL injury which basically triggered his decline

[–] BlueNorse@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Arias assist. Cincy massive
