Is there some sort of overall vision doc for KDE 6? What are they building towards? I find 5 so good have a bit of trouble imagining where they'll go to improve
Linux
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Plasma 6 is built using QT 6, currently plasma 5 is using QT5. This is a huge effort to move the code to the new version of QT but it brings many improvements behind the scenes. Once this is done a lot of the code is going to be cleaner and more maintainable, which should translate to a smoother user experience.
Here's the plasma 6 wiki: https://community.kde.org/Plasma/Plasma_6#Work_that's_been_decided_on_but_not_implemented_yet
This is super helpful, thanks!
afik they are rebasing on qt6, which fixes a lot of issues with Wayland due to Wayland not being thought of during the development of qt5. Correct me if I'm wrong though
Thanks!
I like moving the actions to the header on the KCMs. That's way better.
