I have homepage installed through TrueNAS as an app which works and allows me to access the web portal. However the config files are stored in 'ixVolume' automatically, and I'm not sure how to access them to modify homepage. All the tutorials I have watched on YouTube install it through the command line on Ubuntu or other Linux distros.

This might be a dumb question since I'm new to selfhosting but thanks for any advice.

Are you using docker?

Ip:port

The port should have been set when installing. Click the app, click edit and see what port. Then goto the ip:port

https://truecharts.org/manual/SCALE/guides/getting-started#adding-truecharts

You can try the truecharts variant instead and enable the codeserver addon to access the apps files in a web editor.

So after its active you would go to (replace with your scaleIP) http://truenas.local:36107/?folder=/app/config

Just edit there watch the Changes happen in real time.
