Theres an app on Play Store called Backdrops. Beautiful wallpapers. Highly recommend. The Pro version is 5$.

My current one I found here on Lemmy. Someone made a post showcasing a screenshot of some discussion around someone who took the iconic Luigi Mangione smile but did a furry version. I had to have it, so I downloaded it and have furry Luigi as my background currently.

Otherwise, it's usually images I find online on art sharing platforms like DeviantArt or FurAffinity.

This is pure excellence

[–] jeena@piefed.jeena.net 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I just shoot the picture myself with the phone camera.

[–] Rai@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 16 hours ago

For a new phone, I put it on a table, and take a photo of black, then I set it as my wallpaper.

[–] deus@lemmy.world 2 points 22 hours ago

Came here to say the same. Solid black is the best wallpaper.

I just go to the Sailor Moon Scenery Tumblr and switch things out when I want a change: Link

I have no idea where it got Andraiod daydreams from but thought I'd make you a nice personal AI wallpaper πŸ˜‡

On a serious note though before peeps rip me a new one for even suggesting AI images?

Muzei is still pretty cool to this day, Xiaomi theme thingy has some probably knocked off images that I'm currently using, and even just searching for something when I'm that bored enough to actually change my wallpaper.

I like dark wallpapers. Mostly I browse !thenightfeeling@lemmy.world for something I can crop to something interesting.

Backdrops is usually my go-to. I also used Tapet happily for a long time.

[–] sabreW4K3@lazysoci.al 2 points 1 day ago

Thanks for this.

[–] dustyData@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Mostly pictures I take myself. I dabble on photography and photo editing as a hobby.

[–] Blaze@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago

Found mine on https://wallhaven.cc/, but it's been a while, I just transfer it each time I change phones

Same. Filter by portrait and go.
Sucks that the filtering only works on search results, sometimes they feature some cool collections on the homepage but you can't filter those because...???
I also liked it better when Unsplash+ wasn't a thing

[–] RoomTempCoffee@lemmy.cafe 3 points 1 day ago

Usually I'd just do a subreddit URL on imgur, like https://imgur.com/t/spaceporn (it used to be /r/ instead of /t/). But for the last couple years I've just been rotating the Dune book covers on the printings I have that someone on Reddit made textless versions of.

I don't know I find randomly. I do share them on mobile wallpaper Lemmy community

There is a lot of people but feels like I'm the only one sharing.

[–] Blaze@lemmy.zip 3 points 22 hours ago

You can maybe try promoting it on !newcommunities@lemmy.world
