Rest of the league is breathing heavy….the Spurs are back.

He might fuck around and make the all-star team😭

I'm impressed although I feel like watching him is going to be like watching shaq - just not fair. Like watching a grown man swat away shot attempts from his 10 year old son in the driveway. The dude has a standing reach of almost 10 feet. He's got a lot of NBA players beat by almost 2 feet, how in gods name is that supposed to be fair competition lol

Not taking anything away from the young man, he's very skilled - but are we supposed to be watching a competitive sport here or is this some freak show

Kind of reminds me of the UFC and Jon Jones - you've got this monster of a man with the legs of a 10 year old weighing in (up until recently, anyway) at the same weight as guys half his size.

We do per 36 for preseason games, eh? Lol

Preseason? I thought my calendar says we’re in June??? /s

[–] arrer3@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

preseason? I thought that we were filming "obese men suck a black man's cock for 20 minutes"?

The defensive numbers are incredible. He is an absolute monster on that end. The efficiency offensively isn't amazing but some of that is because the Spurs haven't quite yet figured out how to utilize him in the halfcourt.

His transition offense, offensive rebounding, and his dribble pull up are reliable and he is going to get fouled because of his size, so he can basically waltz his way into 16-18 PPG in the regular season immediately, IMO. That's his floor this season offensively in PPG even with the turnovers, mediocre shooting and bad shot selection at times.

Alright, time to break out Kenny Lofton Jr.

I didn't think it was possible that the Wemby hype could get more ridiculous.

[–] Earlier-Today@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I'm expecting teams will figure out how to get him into foul trouble quick and tire him out like crazy.

[–] fartalldaylong@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Hard to do when he doesn't have to be close to you to defend you.

[–] LoWE11053211@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

less rebound than i expected

Spurs fans: how would you build around this guy? What young talent in the league would you want around Wemby, within reason? Are Sochan / Vassell etc good enough, or are they what Ricky Davis, Darius Miles, and Carlos Boozer were to Lebron in his rookie year? I heard the next two drafts aren't that great, either.

I’ve never seen anything like him

[–] Zeeron1@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

All this just to beat Chet /s

[–] PM_ME_UR_RESPECT@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I want off of Mr. Victor’s Wild Ride

I’ve seen enough. His career is already better than Barkley, Jordan and Wilt combined.

[–] clittlord@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It’s his league from now on

[–] NoiceForNoReason@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Damn, those are almost as good as Julian Strawther’s stats!

This season?

[–] wawawalkinstreet@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I was definitely wrong about Wemby. I never thought he would be bad but holy hes a Beast already

[–] WordSpiritual1928@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Generally I wouldn’t put too much stock into pre season but I think the guy is gonna do great this season.

[–] Ghosted_Stock@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Enough time has passed

[–] the_alert@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I don’t see Wemby getting anywhere near 8r/pg. Pop has him on the wing and leaking tf out when shots go up. With your favorite player’s new most hated player, Sochan, playing a new position in Point-Problem, Wemby doesn’t need to crash the boards.

I didn’t trust the move, but that’s why I’m on Reddit and PatFO is PatFO.

I'm a Spurs fan but going into the season I wish good health for wembanyama and any other teams players. Seeing injuries happen over the last few years to rookies and anyone you just hope for the best for any team and their players.

[–] Biggy_Jimmy@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

onyl flaw im really noticing is possibility for high turnovers and tbh low rebound numbers for a guy of his height bur im sure those are gon go up as he put on more size

[–] KayuK143@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Bro what the hell, if wemby doesn't make all-star, I will personally take a plane all the way to America and beat the living daylights out of whoever is in charge of all star selections
