Barca are too big and successful of a club to be obsessed with Madrid the way they seem to be especially when it’s the top level people running the club doing it too.

[–] bslawjen@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I have bad news for sociological Barcelona fans, he is him.

[–] AyanC@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

A politician through and through.

[–] AbaloneObjective7214@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I do think as a Madridista that Laporta has done an incredible job transforming Barcelona over the last 2 years especially considering the situation they have been in.

But he simply does not help himself or Barca making these aggressive comments especially considering neither Perez or people around Real never make those about Barca

[–] TheUltimateScotsman@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

people around Real

Regarding refs on the other hand

[–] Rusbekistan@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

people around Real never make those about Barca

🤔

[–] TechTuna1200@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Yeah, the two clubs aren't among the biggest rivals in football... oh wait...

[–] K1ngCrimsn@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Laporta came out & talked about real madrid this past week as many times as Perez does in year

[–] pichabro@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (4 children)

When he was running for President he paid for a huge billboard in Madrid just a 100 meters from the Bernabeu saying “looking forward to seeing you again”. The man is obsessed with Madrid

[–] Martoxic@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

"The man is obsessed with Madrid"

He is a Barca fan so ofc he is. Just like Madrid fans are obsessed with Barca. That is just how it is.

[–] generativePI@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Definitely not how it is. You should catch up on Spanish history, it will give you a better understanding of the Catalonia mindset, particularly towards Madrid.

[–] JS569123@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Rather than a personal obsession, seems to me he’s being a shrewd politician. He knows how much the Barça socios - who vote in the presidential elections - will like that sort of stuff

[–] Sputniki@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He’s just playing the election game, no need to do a psychoanalysis of the man.

[–] Noproposito@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The company that printed that billboard job was the one that belongs to the husband of the judge that first picked up the Negreira case. Back in the early summer Barsa was claiming this was nothing and nothing would come of it. They are mafiosi, and they are desperate.

[–] paco-ramon@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Pérez has the privilege of not being investigated for paying to the vice President of the refs thanks to sociological Real Madrid laws.

[–] faheemhassan@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

paco-ramon has the privilege of talking out his ass.

[–] exploring_lifenow@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Perez has many puppets like Tebas, the Spanish media and the Majority of the Spanish administration not only football related but other as well.

[–] egewquyriq@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Considering the club situation before him he did pretty well to get the house in order.

[–] lutsius-memes@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Idk of selling everything and making sketchy deals for renovating your stadium is doing pretty well

[–] prettyhappyalive@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Well enough to win the league lol

[–] Mr_Tornister@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

With signings that shouldn't've happened, since they still haven't got the money for the levers they pulled to sign those players in the first place.

[–] Az23236@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Which signings shouldn’t have happened? Other than that Brazilian kid I think Barca hasn’t paid any substantial amount for a signing, most of their signings have been free transfers and loans.

[–] EljachFD@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Are you another one of those reddit experts that claimed barca wouldn’t be able to register their signings because they had no money?

Not with Ferran Torres I'm afraid

[–] YepYupSup@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

"And all we need to do is bribing the refs for another 20 years" :)

[–] This_Pizza_Cowboy@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

….by paying no more than 4 Mio. for new players, just like in the late 1980s

[–] KejserMS@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

We rly live rent free in this clowns head, cant go a week without talking Madrid.

[–] TimTkt@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Spanish Trump has discovered a new word and he LOVES it ! Crooked Perez gonna pay 😡

[–] HeadCrusher135@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Is that with the current squad? Or are we expecting more levers to be pulled?

[–] evilbob99@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Makes sense, that’s why he’s been talking about them all the time

[–] blicky-stiffy@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Holy shit we are winning everything

Visca Barça

[–] el_rompe_toyotas_19@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

-Hernández Hernández, probably

[–] onlyonejorge@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The ref who harms us the most? Genius comment.

[–] Lothar93@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I get the rivalry, but these guys straight up mention RM at every chance they have.

[–] christmasinjune201@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Is Laporta's brain degenerating or are the translations just getting worse?

Little brother energy

[–] pratap_10@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

😂🤣 Yup and will then get humiliated in UCL knockout rounds like the past so many seasons.

[–] Metal_is_Perfection@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

just stfu pls

[–] Commercial-Cow88@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Man, at this rate in few days he’s gonna say Benzema did 9/11.

[–] LuthorM@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I mean we won't but I'm happy to have Jan back. He's everything spaniards and madridistas hate about catalans.

[–] may_day06@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Deflecting thats all that he can do, this corruption may go back as far as Nunez when he was the president

[–] nedelll@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Barcelona looks much better than Real Madrid

Watch us repeat the best Barcelona in history’s mf nobody’s going to be talking then.

[–] anzelm12@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Stfu you fucking idiot

[–] superunknown63@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Sociological. Never heard that word in my life tbh and I hate it

[–] ken0746@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Your best Barcelona still has less Champions Leagues than the Best Madrid team lol

[–] CaptainDank0@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I have no clue what going on at this point I’m just here for the vibes

[–] r3dd1t2k17@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

His comments were a good laugh before the Sevilla match, but after that ref performance we might be really back to peak barca.

[–] FiresideCatsmile@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

how can you repeat the best barcelona in history without the best player in history?
