If only they could score from that corner Would’ve been huge for Brighton to take a point at the Etihad

[–] scbeski@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Uhhh should've been at least 2.5-3 more mins there right? Ref not tracking the injury or the sub time properly

Would love to hear more about how we're constantly favoured by the refs after that performance from Rob Jones. Gave just about everything Brighton's way

[–] MisterS1997@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He’s not a manc ref who’s bribed to go over an ref uae games. He’s not on your owners payroll so he didn’t give you every decision like the other refs

3 points all that matters.

Next game.

[–] punindya@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That was too stressful at the end for how much control we had throughout the match. Should have buried them in the first half itself.

Doku would have to be ahead of Grealish already? City look so much more threatening with Doku out wide.

Wasn't expecting a result, glad we played well and had a chance at a point. Get well Solly!!! UTA!

Graelish wont be anywhere near starting 11 with doku around, when graelish came on all he does it get the ball and pass it back

[–] lavender_r@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Shit's won us the treble so can't be that bad lol

[–] Pasan90@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Thing about grealish is that he don't loose the ball much.

Sucks that we have no akanji for the Derby. Now we're stuck with ake/Gvardiol + Dias + Stones + Walker. We need better defenders smh

City ain’t what they used to be

Such a shit display in the second half. and not sure if Akanji deserved a 2nd yellow.

[–] Chiswell123@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It was definitely a yellow.

[–] Switchnaz@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It's rare to see a team of much lower expected quality dominate possession against a pep guardiola side but brighton played great second half.

[–] blazinrumraisin@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Ref lost the thread at the end there. Suddenly, every touch is a foul and a yellow card.

Wank in the first half, been crap every time Milner plays it's no a coincidence we came into the game when he was off.

A lot of poor performances in general but overall 2-1 loss away at City and managed to get them a red card not awful the injuries are more concerning given this game was a write off.

Now 5 games without a win so hopefully that changes against Ajax the schedule is a bit easier going forward now in the league.

No idea what De Zebri was thinking when playing Milner against one of the most quick and direct winger in the league

He played very well tbh

[–] FraudCommission@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

why is Ederson benched?

[–] BadBehaviour613@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Honestly wasn't the statement demolition I was expecting. Perhaps this year the title race could get interesting...

[–] EVANonSTEAM@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Brighton are a good team, has everyone forgotten that?

[–] g0t-cheeri0s@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

First time I've watched them in a while. Their comfort in playing out the back with extremely tight passes was impressive. Mitoma too, such a joy to watch. Would not have been surprised if Brighton grabbed an equaliser.

[–] mister_greenman@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They concede for fun, only the bottom three have conceded more than them.

[–] EVANonSTEAM@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

And? They have scored more goals than 18 other teams in the league; including City.

[–] luvvdmycat@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Has Doku supplanted Grealish?

Doku was dangerous today.
