Poor man's Embiid
NBA - Main
Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
Absolutely not
Yea not even a little bit
Maybe Xavier Tillman if he had more talent but players like Brand don't really exist in today's league. Millsap was kind of similar but even he's retired now.
Hard to say, EB was sort of unique. He was a man-child coming into the league. A little undersized but thick with a large wingspan and huge hands. He was most similar to Zo, but Zo was a little taller and more athletic.
Julius Randle
Asking as someone who's never watched him play, was brand good? Like was he considered a star that could lead a team to the playoffs in his prime?
No, he wasn’t even a perennial all star. A good tier 2, sometimes 3 guy. A little bit of a poor man’s LaMarcus Aldridge but maybe a little better than that
Briefy. 2006 was his big year. He led the Clippers to the playoffs (a very rare occurrence at the time) and got MVP votes. All-NBA Second Team, suggesting he was viewed as a top ten player.
Yes he was legitimate star and one of the best low post scorers and rebounders in the league. At his best he was a top-10 player and looked unstoppable at times. He's too overlooked for how good he was.
Zach Randolph
