For example I looked up Kenyon Martin today. I remember him being an all-star so I figured he must have had multiple 20/10 seasons. Turns out he never averaged more than 17 ppg and only got 10 rpg one season.

Muggsy Bogues surprised me positively. I thought he was just a role player like Early Boykins. Turns out he had several seasons averaging over 8 apg and a couple seasons averaging over 10 apg.

buddy hield has been in the league for 7 years and is already 29th all time in 3s.

if he repeated this production for another 7 years he’d have more 3s than steph currently has.

He's also 30.

I thought Andrew Bynum had multiple 17 and 10 years but turns out hes only averaged 15ppg once.

Kenyon Martin and Gilbert Arenas are mostly shit guys who screamed empty stats. Same as Antoine Walker. Antoine's lucky he dickrode a ring with Shaq and Wade

This is hilarious

Al Jefferson never made a single all-star team. I've always had this impression that he was at least a 1x all-star.

I thought Ron Harper was simply 'the guy who got Jordon the ball.'

Turns out he averaged 20ppg in multiple seasons, including 23 on 48% shooting. Shit 3p %, though.

Yeah the 72 win Bulls were ridiculously stacked

[–] WyngZero@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He was also VERY good at defense. He slowed down defensively by the time he got to the Bulls but the Bulls picked him up cuz of his D.

Kenyon Martins best years were in the slowest era of basketball. Need to normalize stats to per 100 to compare. He was also a REALLY good defensive player even though he wasnt a great shot blocker. Strong and positionally sound.

Someone already mentioned Dennis but I think it needed to be said again. I don’t know if there ever will be someone like him again (on the court).

Jeremy Sochan. He cN only really pass and play D right now, but he's tenacious and dyes his hair.

I didn’t personally look up these stats but thinking basketball podcast recently did an episode of the best finishers (scoring efficiency and volume 3ish feet or less from the basket) and they mentioned that tmac and Vince carter were basically league-average finishers.

Dennis Rodman never averaged a block or steal per game in any season

Dennis Rodman for such an amazing rebounder and defender ( 2x defensive player of the year) had horrible blocking stats. He didn't have a single regular season where he averaged 1 block/game

[–] JGoat2112@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That if you look at Reggie Millers stats and accolades, on paper, he looks like Klay with no rings

[–] elkresurgence@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Kenyon Martin was trash bro the only thing he did well was fist-pumping midair after a dunk
