Believing your legacy is set is an essential part of any good tank commander’s mindset. He’s ready.

this guy is literally hated for being punched by a psychopath

I mean he made it to the league and then got a ring. Really there's not much more to ask for from a basketball perspective other than being an all timer.

In the words of Charles Barkley. “All these bus riders, don’t mean nothing to me”

Everything depends on what exactly a person wants their legacy to be. I'm fine with Poole feeling like this, he was a key contributor to that championship, and his words now confirm what happened to him afterwards, he was satisfied with just the one as a role player. Teams now know he doesn't have that hunger inside, he's content, which is good for him, if you can achieve what he has achieved and be happy no one can be mad at you, it took a lot of work to get to the heights he reached, he's not interested in going any higher.

I am not trying to be a jerk - after all, he is in the first percentile of the first percentile of the first percentile of basketball players in the world - but is Jordan Poole really someone who has a 'legacy'?

Like do we talk about Vin Baker's legacy? There are a lot of players who were better than Poole and we don't really talk about them in terms of legacies.

What being sent to the Wizards does to a mf

[–] blinkomatic@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We’ve moved into the new Jordan Poole eta, jacking shots and money.

[–] Lopsided-Mobile2197@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wow this is wild

[–] KidFrankie15@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Damn so he’s not even going to try and win games anymore. All about ppg for him now

[–] myassholealt@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My legacy was being an accessory on a dynasty team.

[–] belizeanheat@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Stupid thing to say but being concerned about legacy in the first place is also a pretty stupid and narcissistic move

[–] trinquin@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Disagree. But unless you are like top top player it absolutely isn't relevant. Curry, Jokic, KD, Giannis, LeBron, etc can care about legacy. Wtf does Jordan Poole care about legacy for?

[–] ProphetofChud@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Curry getting Poole a ring was a crime against humanity.

[–] Matto_0@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nah bro, the stars get the legacy points. The role players don't.

[–] Mysycry@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

his halfcourt shots in front of Bay Area baddies during that series was so damn cold🥶🥶🥶

[–] Lepube@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Laughs in Patrick McCaw

[–] treymalala@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

what legacy

[–] KeldonMarauder@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Have we seen anyone as young as he is wing a ring early (while having significant contributions at that) and then just getting big contracts from other teams?

[–] WinterCareful8525@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Y’all did this.lol.

[–] thassa1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I sure can’t stand this loser. Luckily fan hood is much longer than careers, I’ll blink and he’ll be long forgotten

[–] peroper7@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I mean.. no

[–] Lantzanator@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Winners mentality

[–] Navajo_Nation@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Is the legacy in the room with us right now?

[–] DonChile27@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

"there's an ATM in every city"

“My basketball legacy is taken care of with the ring.”

"Definitely getting to my second contract; that's my success"

[–] edric_the_navigator@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I bet that’s what’s gonna get him punched by another teammate on the Wizards this time. Using the ring as a flex.

[–] psmusic_worldwide@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Can anyone imagine Curry saying that after his first ring? I don't think so. Curry would say something like "...just getting started, my legacy ain't even begun."

[–] Key-Caterpillar6@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

[–] Lostinthemist81@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

[–] Initial-Stick-561@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Oh my, what a mindset he has. I’m good with winning, now I want the stats!

[–] tony_countertenor@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This is the logical endpoint of the muh rings bullshit

[–] sgandylau@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bruh is fucking ready to put up 50 shots a game. ELITE mindset
