Unless Luka has a godly season and/or a great playoff run, I think people will start giving him the Harden treatment.

Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
Austin Reaves will be turned on once he starts getting targeted relentlessly on defence and his foul baiting is nerved by the anti flopping push.
Zion has been pretty much sidelined as the punchline to a thousand jokes but when healthy, he's looked unstoppable and every indication is that he's healthy. I hope he starts the season with a chip on his shoulder and destroys everyone in front of him.
Austin Reaves is going to get attacked defensively this year. I think Zach Collins is going to play well next to Wemby.
Gabe Vincent. People have only said good things about him (deservingly so) but now that he's on the lakers, he's going to get hated on every time he misses a three or commits a turnover.
I would say Karl Anthony Towns for who people are high on but will turn off of.
They guy has had 20+ points for 7 years with good field goal percentages from 2 and 3 along with decent rebounds. I think the part that exposes him is his +/- ratings that show him to be an empty stat guy. The guy has a plus 579 point differential in a career lasting almost a decade and 371 of that is from 2017-2018 with the one year Butler played their. The last year he was elibable 2021-2022, he was 22nd in the league in ESPN real plus/minus.
Dude isn't a bad player by any stretch, but stop calling him a superstar. He gets injured constantly and isn't close to a dominant level player with the numbers showing it. He isn't reliable health wise and isn't dominant when he is. I think his reputation is far better than his court performance. Wolves would be smart to trade him while the perception of his value is this high

Poole fits both as he’s polarizing. I’m banking on a breakout season.
Trae Young; he’s not going to ever get better at defending, or any talller. So why keep treading water in mediocrity.
From to low to high:
-
Jordan Poole - with the green light and zero expectations, he's poised to get a break out year
-
KD - if he can bring a chip to Phoenix, it'll quiet a lot of his haters
From high to low:
-
Austin Reaves - now that he's legitimately the 3rd option for the Lakers, opposing teams will be scouting for him. I can see his production taking a dip because of this, and we all know how vicious LA fans are.
-
Dame and Giannis - if the Bucks choke again this year, a lot of hate is going to come to both of them.
-
Luka - if he misses the playoffs again, I can see the fans & media treating him like they do Harden
Finally, I can see Zion going both ways. Currently, Zion is a punchline due to his on and off court issues. If he can actually stay healthy during the regular season and start getting some accolades, his stock will rise. That being said, if the Pelicans make the post season, it'll be his first playoff run. NBA history tells us that first time playoff players don't perform well due to the pressure, increased physicality, opposing scouting taking away your go-to's etc. I'd expect his stats to decrease in the post season and with that, public perception will turn to the negative
You guys are gonna come around on Dillon Brooks. I’m calling it now
James Harden and Ben Simmons will both look better and play better away from Doc and the Sixers toxic organization
For the low aspect I have RJ Barrett, he’s basically been shitted on for the past few years bc of his draft hype and position and he hasn’t really lived up to the hype. But after seeing him in last years playoffs and this years FIBA I can see him becoming a really good 3rd option who can do a little bit of everything.
Westbrook will go through the Dwight treatment.
Dwight went from averaging 17 and 10 to like 5 and 5 and people praised him for “making a leap” with the Lakers. It was actually insane to listen to.
Same thing with Westbrook. He’s gonna put up like 10,6,5 and people are going to rave about how great he’s playing. People were way too hard on him with the Lakers.
Mobley gonna make a lot of people angry when he doesn’t live up to their Tim Duncan anointment
