I like the quick access to news and highlights, you feel like you're caught up with whats happening quickly. The comments are quite amusing on a good day. I would make it mandatory for a posted higlight to include replays.

I'd rank the Hawks at 12.

Probably daily just to check up and especially after games.

I watch every single game of the Hawks and about one game a week from an other team.

1. I enjoy r/NBA because I can find most relevant NBA news in one location as it happens, and see what other fans are talking about. Unfortunately, redditors are rather toxic. I wish I could change that but that's not something that will go away.

2. I have the Suns at #4 going into the season, behind Denver, Milwaukee, and Boston.

3. I am chronically online and browse r/NBA multiple times throughout the day, but typically first thing in the morning and over lunch.

4. I try to watch every Suns game and probably only miss a handful over the course of the season. I might watch other teams on national TV that play before the Suns. I would watch more if I was selected as a rep.

I feel like r/nba is for better or worse the best place to talk about and read about the NBA. It’s a giant userbase so news and highlights are posted immediately, the game threads are full of people who mostly watched the game, it’s a good place to read up on things. The issue is so many people here either have bad opinions or are so upvote seeking with bad memes that it can be hard to find a good discussion.

Hornets at idk, 25 or 26.

I try to watch 80% of Hornets games live. I have league pass though, and usually I will switch around - I don’t catch every second of every game but I probably watch around 8 games a week that I can have a somewhat informed opinion on

1. r/NBA is one of the best and worst places for NBA discussion online. On the positive side, it's the largest collection of fans from every team, and that alone makes it a valuable environment for discussion. Most of the time, discussion tends to be more tied to reality rather than in team subs where hype trains all too often get off the tracks. However, there reaches a point where discourse turns into a hot-take-fest, and at that point it's off to the races. This is more of an issue with reddit more than with r/NBA, but other sports subs do seem to have it a bit more under control. As for something that's a lot easier to implement, I'd go with improving clips by requiring replays (either in the main clip itself or in a pinned comment) and actually enforce it so that people follow it.

2. 16th overall, 7th in the East. I haven't given the overall ranking too much thought at the moment (if I had to give a range they'd be somewhere between 13th and 19th), but Atlanta seems pretty solidly the 7th best team in the east at this moment.

3. I usually end up on r/NBA a few times a day, but almost always in the evenings to check the post-game threads of any games I didn't get to watch live

4. I do my best to watch every Atlanta game, although I do miss ~5 on average over the course of a season due to having a life outside of basketball. I try to watch every team at least once a month (I've actually planned out which games to watch in past seasons in order to do this), but could probably up that to watching every team at least once every two weeks.

5. If I could pick any person on earth, Brad Rowland. Dude is arguably the most knowledgeable person about the Hawks that doesn't currently work for the Hawks, and he tends to have the most objective takes on the Hawks I've seen from a beat reporter. If I had to choose among reddit users, probably u/gmzeno. They've been writing up really in-depth summaries of every preseason game so far, and he's been rather blunt with his analysis.

1. What I like most about r/nba is the collection of passionate NBA fans coming together to discuss their viewpoints and/or ideas. You can learn quite a bit by scrolling through a post and reading comments from other users who are just as passionate as yourself. Personally, if there was one thing to change, it'd probably be to lessen the number of replies seen under a comment and sort the replies under a comment by how they are trending (i.e. time posted + thumbs up).
2. I currently have the Clippers ranked 7th in a power ranking behind the Bucks, Celtics, Nuggets, Suns, Lakers, and Warriors.
3. Everyday.
4. I watch on average about 3-4 Clippers games and about 7-8 other NBA games a week.
5. Any other user who has a Clippers flair.

/r/nba is a good place because at least 10%ish of the people here have a few brain cells, which is a major step up from other forums. And mostly all truly horrible thoughts and opinions get buried. And also the mods are very awesome and smart and funny and good looking. Every single one of them. Another great thing about this sub is that people here very rarely talk about the Hornets. Except for the past month or so, but hey I'm not worried. Things will go back to normal once our players stop losing their minds, being involved in murders, and/or posing a clear threat to women and children. Then we'll go back to our normal brand of sucking quietly forever and everyone will be happy.

If I could change one thing about /r/nba I would make everybody say two nice things about the Hornets every day. And they'd have to mean it.

Hornets are 25th. I'd put them above the Wizards, Pistons, Spurs, Blazers, and Rockets. For now. Don't worry fans of those teams, you'll pass us by like everyone else as we stay in the same spot. And then next year we'll have a whole new crop of teams that we're very briefly better than. It's the circle of life. And it moves us all (in the power rankings). Except for the Hornets.

I check here every day, unless I'm busy. Which is rare. I mean what else am I supposed to do with my time, watch a Hornets game? Oops, I shouldn't have said that last part. I try to watch the Hornets at least once a week. And other NBA games whenever they're on nationally. I'll watch more if ranking actually becomes my responsibility, I'll even get League Pass now that it's cheap. But wait that means I'd have less time, so I guess I'd have to change my answer to #3...

I'll be honest, I'm really taking a bullet for everyone here by volunteering to be the designated "Hornets fan". That's a title that nobody sane should want. So really you should just let me be the martyr here. And only one other person has applied in this thread so far. So if I have to choose my answer is them. And then I'll just apply next year once they lose their mind.

I'd do it for the raptors but I've been a lurker my whole reddit life. If it's possible a mod can reach out.

Fan boy take: COTY candidate. MIP candidate. 6MOTY candidate. If we're to get excited about preseason then the sky's the limit. Alot of us Raptors fans came into last season optimistic about growing from a season ending in a scrappy first round loss. After a season we'd like to mostly forget, there's now reason to bring back that energy. Darko might be the answer to bringing what was once seen as a high upside and already talented group together. Behind the scenes, interviews and on court product already have become a great deal more pleasing to the eye. The next most noticeable difference being Scottie looks like he's ready to take advantage of his skills, size and IQ. If Gary Trent takes the step forward he was projected to, while also being able to keep it up from the bench during the regular season, he dramatically improves the bench unit. Yes it's the preseason but it's clear this is a different team in terms of energy and ceiling. (Also pascal siakam is a potential all star and OGs floor is already 2nd Team Defense . Are we sleeping on Dennis Schroeder as an addition?)

Basketball take: By the the time Allstars are announced the raptors could easily be in the playoff picture or selling assets. Preseason aside this is a team that struggles with spacing and identity. Losing Fred only emphasis those faults. With many contracts looming it'd take a huge culture shift and on court growth from pretty much the whole team. With that said there is a chance former All NBA pascal leads a team back to the playoffs, with help from growth from Scottie and OG. We can't forget they also finally have a center who plays center. As well as a world champion MVP in Dennis. The variance is high with potential outcomes of the tea.
