I was thinking today, I’ve seen talks about people entering their prime at really old ages, like Karl Malone for example. But that made wonder, who hit the peak of their career at the younger ages? For example, micheal carter Williams practically peaked in his rookie year.

Tim Duncan was so much more athletic before his knee injury. He was still so incredible even with reduced athleticism, but it makes you wonder if he hadn’t gotten hurt.

Shaq from a defensive and rebounding perspective. He got his peak rebounds and blocks per game during his Orlando run

Richard Jefferson on the Nets

Ron Harper. Granted his knee problems forced him to play differently, but he spent his first 10 seasons being a blistering hot scorer. He even led the Cavs in scoring his rookie year, albeit at a riper age of 23. After he signed in Chicago at 30, he would be role player for the rest of his career.

Surprised nobody said either Blake Griffin or Vince Carter, both players peaked in year 1 and 2, and steadly declined since...

If Ben Simmons doesn’t come back to the same level he was at pre-Hawks series then we’ll have a guy who won 3× All-Star, 1x Third Team, and 2× All-Defensive First Team all before he turned 26.

Tim Duncan.

He peaked ridiculously early and maintained phenomenal conaistency even after his leg injury took away some of athleticism.

But from 1997 to 2003 Duncan was a motherfucking MENACE.

Chris Paul had an all time great career with elite longevity but his peak was 08 or 09, when he was 22/23.
