So I’ve liked the NBA for a while but never particularly liked a certain team I just like certain players, but I really like watching luka doncic so I kinda want to start being a mavericks fan but I live in Wisconsin so it makes since for me to be a bucks fan but I honestly don’t like them at all. Would I be a bandwagon if I became a mavericks fan?

Agreed with the other guys! Pick the team you want, and whatever you like is what makes you a fan! I liked d wade back in the day w Shaq and now I’m a heatle for life 2000 miles across the nation

I just think it’s stupid that your “supposed” to be a fan of the team that’s closest to you, I’m also a Seahawks for a long time because i played madden and used marshawn lynch all the time and also russ who went to Wisconsin for a year

Never made sense why I HAD to root for a team just because they are nearby.

I tend to root for players whose game I want to develop or just enjoy watching.

Though it's also fun watching potential history in the making, like Wemby. So I can say "I was there when Jordan played the first game" 20 years later etc.
