Steph Curry
He does have mvp potential. Let’s not act like he’s Jaylen brown or something he was legit carrying them vs the champs. He pushed them more than any other team, and the wolves didn’t even have Jaden McDaniels during that series. He’s a killer not overrated at all. He has mvp potential. Idk about right now but he could be one down the line. Best 2 in the league.
Shai no question. People were already shoving him in the top 10 last season and I keep seeing people saying he’s comparable to Luka.
Shai's biggest knock is that he didn't make the playoffs last year, but Luka didn't even make the play-in. Yes, Luka has performed in the playoffs before, but I don't know why it's crazy to say that they're at least somewhat comparable
James Harden
Jalen Green. An inefficient ball hog who makes his team worse on the court and is comfortably one of the worst defensive players in the league.
Wemby, easy.
Never played an actual NBA game, “Generational player”, “Future GOAT?”
Craziness all around.
The fact that this only has 50 upvotes shows how overrated he really is. I understand the hype but all that before playing in a game?
They’re gonna be real let down when his career doesn’t last 20 seasons or he doesn’t get blessed with 6 rings. He’s in the NBA at the same time as Jokic. At a hyper polarized time in general. There are also risk injuries with being that tall.
His team is also ass, there’s a reason they were the first pick. It’s hard winning a chip.
If everyone upvotes that you're "overrated", then how are you overrated actually.
It’s like the flip side of how Jrue Holiday was unanimously the most underrated player for a while lol
SGA
Jalen Brunson
Austin Reaves
Jalen McDaniels and Onyeka Okongwu.
Dwight Howard. Only.
Austin Reaves. No question.
Great feel-good story, great performances in the 2nd half of the 22-23 season/playoffs/FIBA...But come on.
In the Lakers sub people are seriously debating right now whether or not they'd swap him for Bradley Beal.
Based off the playoffs, Jaylen Brown. Wonder how teams are going to leverage off him not being able to dribble with his left hand
I mean since then everyone has started hating on so much he might even be heading into Underrated territory.
Westbrook. I’ve seen him on top 20 lists
On this sub? Jokic.
Listen, Dude is an all time great. In the conversation for best player now, and a sure fire Hall Of Famer.
But on r/NBA, they act like he's a 14 on the 1-10 scale and the next best player in history is a 3.
Incoming downvotes, I know. Because of where I'm posting this.
How do you overrate someone who you yourself consider an "all time great/best player/ Hall of Famer"?
Sounds like he can't achieve more than what you already mentioned.
Brooks
Leflop - overrated his entire existance.
Jayson Tatum. How he's legitimately being picked to win MVP when the big three are all still in their prime is crazy to me.
jokic
Hali, I would say Wemby too. Im not sure though its kinda stupid to say that a player who hasnt played an nba minute is any type of rated
jaylen brown
Hali, I would say Wemby too. Im not sure though its kinda stupid to say that a player who hasnt played an nba minute is any type of overated
Wemby, dude hasn’t played a real nba game yet and even former/current players are calling him a supersta
austin reaves
Luka , his career arch isn't Bron, Kobe or MJ, it's McGrady, Harden or Melo. I don't think he wins a title as a true #1 for the same reasons that Harden hasn't, his iso playing style doesn't work with another ball dominant wing, and there are only 5 legit pick and roll bigs in the NBA
