Oh you're about to be right there again struggling at QB only it won't be coming off 30 years of HOF play.

[–] battle_schip@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Bro it’s been half a season

He needs to suck for like, 1-2 more whole seasons. That’s the rule on the QB Carousel, c’mon guys.

Incoming Packers win against the Vikings this Sunday somehow

I'm starting to think that it wasn't a good idea to spend a 1st round pick on a QB and wait until the last year or so of his contract to use him and see how he looks

[–] CaptainJudge_99@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I think the prob is more not giving him weapons & shitty coaching

“Boo hoo” - 99% of nfl fans towards the packers after they’ve had 4 decades of hall of fame QB play

[–] nameuser121212@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

3 decades deserves sympathy though right?

I don’t think it’s going to be a dilemma for them. If this doesn’t work out by the end of the year then Lafleur is gone and the new coach will want his guy. And most every franchise QB has shown some of it by year 3. So I don’t think it’s going to be a hard decision to move on from him. And sure, maybe he can have a Geno type resurgence. But how many of those have happened in the last 30 years?

Not sure why the downvote, but I agree.

One example of someone who started shining on a new team is Mayfield. In fact, I first saw it with the Rams late last season (Stafford injury), when he started a game like the day after he arrived in town. I was kind of blown away. And he's doing the same in TB.

TLDR: Jordan Love hasn’t been good but the pieces around him have been worse. Can’t run block, run the right routes or protect the QB. Their best offensive player has been injured for basically all year. The hope is your quarterback can elevate the players around him, but how many can in this environment?

I do believe teams give up on players prematurely all the time, but I also believe some players are just not it, and I don't think Love is the type that is going to turn into something special later down the road.

[–] Ok-Summer-2159@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

At best I see Love developing into a Tyrod Taylor type of career path

[–] CryonicsColony@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That's because teams are supposed to win

[–] Single_Daikon_7235@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They can sign JimmyG next year

[–] Eg_3600@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Perfect. He can sabotage them from the inside

[–] DontLoseYourCool1@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The media was slobbing his balls after week three when he passed for 7 TDs-1 pick, 1 rush TD, 750 yards and Packers were called a franchise that had 3 constant franchise QBS!!!

Now all of a sudden he sucks. Let the kid ride out the season.

[–] Techiedad91@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He’s on the last year of his deal right? Move on

[–] BEDNMF@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I mean not really, just dont extend him and draft another qb lol

[–] CryonicsColony@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

No love for bart starr here?

[–] eltaquitoloco69@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

What dilema? He sucks.

[–] Oddly_Mind@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

You mean dropping him after the season because 3 years of prep wasn’t enough.
