Watch how fast they get off the line and watch their hand usage and ankle flexion at their size.

I don’t think contracts are a problem in what’s going on with play. The top end contracts got bloated, but almost all of the middle class is gone now and replaced with rookie contract and vet min guys.

Play callers are the juice. Take for instance the 2016 falcons. They had Kyle Shanahan calling plays. He left and the falcons let their whole offensive coaching staff go except for Raheem Morris who isn’t even an offensive coach. They had scored the second most points through the playoffs up until that point at somewhere around 33PPG and Matt Ryan won MVP. The next year they brought in Sarkasian and were lucky to score 20 per game.

ESPN once had a two INT Charlie Batch game as its best game under QBR. Then they went back and fixed their model.

Peter Principle. Coaching and playing are two different things. Sure, they overlap, but just because you played doesn’t mean you can coach.

It was just a few days ago that people were saying that the media and fans were against Arthur and had never seen a group want a head coach to actively fail.

I don’t think it’s going to be a dilemma for them. If this doesn’t work out by the end of the year then Lafleur is gone and the new coach will want his guy. And most every franchise QB has shown some of it by year 3. So I don’t think it’s going to be a hard decision to move on from him. And sure, maybe he can have a Geno type resurgence. But how many of those have happened in the last 30 years?

Hope they don’t match up the janky fingers to him so he doesn’t lose his job.
