Players aren't trying to play hard during their week off and definitely don't want to get injured in an exhibition game

Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
there's only ONE way to make the NBA all star game competitive
The winning team's players all become eligible for an additional 5 percent added to their next contract. The team doesn't HAVE to pay that amount but they are eligible for it.
For example Giannis just signed 3/186 extention that could have been 3/195 extension had his team won the all star game last season.
The Bucks wouldn't have to give him 3/195 they can still give 3/186 then it becomes a negotiation point.
imagine making an unimportant game in the middle of the season and then being mad when players arent interested in potentially injuring themselves by playing hard
Can't believe they took away the few somewhat fun parts of the game lol so dumb
Nobody is ever going to go full out in an all-star game. Even when it was competitive there were lots of lazy plays and people going through the motions, just less of it.
I think the coolest thing to spice it up would be an outdoor event of some sort. MLB has the Field of Dreams and NHL has the Outdoor Games, feel like the NBA can do something like that for the All-Star game to make it have a special feel.
Y’all aren’t likely going to watch anyways just let it be
