Foam might cause too drastic of a change. Try paper towels or dried wet wipes if it doesn’t look terrible on the Anandas. That’s what I use on my 1990s and it addresses the treble (8khz and above) specifically and leaves the rest of the spectrum virtually untouched.

Felt does a good job of taming highs, particularly wool felt
The relevant parameter is the specific acoustic impedance (flow resistivity) and the area.
Usually, nylon meshes are more precise than foam/felt or paper-like sheets.
Saati Acoustex meshes work very well.
