We have a couple of SNOM PA1+ units using the lineout to an external amp's aux port. Everything is working correctly, except the audio is really quiet (two big PA speakers you can only hear if you are within 20 feet of at max volume).

If I remove the aux cable from the line out of the Snom and place it in my phone it's really loud and clear. I've tried hooking headphones to the Snom's line out and they are medium volume.

The volume is maxed to 15. I don't see an option to increase vol_speaker in the settings. I appreciate any help.

You have a PA1 which in of itself is an Amp, connecting to another Amp?

Shouldn't it be volume speaker=100? I see you have it set to 8 there.

Try using the line out to connect directly to the speakers and see how loud it comes out, it might be your other amp at fault.

Yah I’d try this. Also there is another option in the web ui that allows you to adjust volume but might just be adjusting this in the config.

The PA1+ has an 8ohm 6.5 watt amp. We have 70V horn speakers which is why we need the 70V external amp.

I figured out I could download the XML config file, edit it, and upload it. The volume is now at 15 which is the max. It's made it louder, but it still seems less than my phone.

Headset/headphones amplifier levels might vary. You might need external preamplifier. Maybe some cheap LM386 module. Alternatively you can try using speaker ouput as audio source, this might need audio transformer though, class-D audio amplifier in PA-1 is probably full-bridge.
