scotland at 10 is fantastic isnt it?

[–] technikleo@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I feel sorry to be the one to ruin a potential lossless matchday. We did our best but Liverpool is strong

[–] Oppxdan@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Don't worry 🫡 and I think it would be better for you to come 3rd in that group (obviously wouldn't be mad at 2nd though lol). Conference League would be more ideal for points (and maybe les violets can make a cool, deep run in a European competition).

[–] OldExperience8252@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Conference league isn’t that bad, Lille have a ridiculously easy group and still have to fight for their results. Don’t see Toulouse making a far run there. Lille potentially could, but not playing as they are.

[–] AmericainaLyon@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I agree. For Toulouse I'd be happy with the 2 runner up bonus points. I don't see them doing much in Conf League.

France is getting dangerously close to take the 5th place back from The Netherlands….

I think it’s clear we’re not going to catch Belgium at all at this rate, so we should collect as many points as possible and solidify our place as 9th imo.

GS played vs Bayern and they put up a good fight and Fener won vs Ludogorets as expected. I’m not even going to talk about us(BJK) because we’re currently at an awful state.

Panie i Panowie, do Współczynnikowego Poloneza.

Today, as part of 0.750 points scored:

  • Raków has drawn;

  • Legia stopped their terrible series of loses in best possible moment, maybe in not the greatest style, but the acceptable one. Also big thanks to VAR, though I have to admit that with each check (counting the Raków's match), the offside lines were looking worse and worse to me. Also they are getting closer and closer to advancing from this group, which all Polish fans were cursing when they were drawn into it.

[–] Skoczek777@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Współczynnikowy Polonez did made me laugh ngl

[–] Chemiczny_Bogdan@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Yeah, a difference of three steps and Zrinjski would win 3-1. Really fine margins here.

[–] Christian_Corocora@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Do you happen to have this by club? I'd like to track the race for the expanded 2025 Club World Cup spots

[–] AdminEating_Dragon@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

The Netherlands is officially the new Portugal, the CL clubs performing and the EL and ECL ones underperforming, the tables have turned!

PAOK's late win is crucial for our top 15 fight, especially if it ends up giving them 1st place. I feel good about our chances against Norway and Denmark right now (Serbia is de facto out of it already).

Antwerp's naivetee in the Champions League is spoiling another good year for Belgium from being ideal.

And the Faroe Islands keep rising with the mighty Klaksvik!

[–] Frodo_max@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

meh, belgian team in UCL is ussually either a bust or scraping by for 3rd place. Even without Antwerp we are shaping up to have a good year.

They did fuck up vs Shaktar though, and that sucks

[–] Footballpro12@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Tbf, Club Brugge had some good years in the CL.

And there was Gent in 2015.

But yeah, nowadays, our clubs are Europa League and Conference League level.

[–] MatK0506@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

top 15 fight

Israel is also still in it. Bare in mind both of their teams didn't play (although I doubt Haifa would have gotten somerhing at Villarreal)

[–] ZedGenius@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Haifa could have gotten something since Villareal is filling their worst 11 everh game in europe

[–] TellTallTail@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I mean.. PSV is sitting on 2 points. It's literally just Feyenoord right now..

[–] poklane@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Just 3 years ago we got eliminated in the Europa League by fucking Wolfsberger, it's truly insane how much we've progressed since then.

[–] RobertVons2002@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

God you were shite with Advocaat, the difference between then and now is fucking insane. What a good manager like Slot can do

To Portugal:

objects in the rearview mirror may be closer than they appear

[–] TeoLyr@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

We'll reach 17th minimum at this rate, here's hoping for 15th!

[–] Giannis1995@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If all three Athens teams continue into the Europa League knockouts and PAOK gets first place in the Conference League group I think Greece will get that 15th spot.

[–] hrnyCornet@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Would be nice if those Czech and Norwegian teams didn't win all of their games smh.

6W 1D 2L - 13th place not bad 👀

[–] OptimusGrimes@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I feel like the 5th Champions League spot should be Barclays' God given right, it's what the Queen would have wanted

[–] finndestroyer2@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I asked our king the other day and he agreed Belgium deserves it.

Course he didn't understand what he was agreeing to as I was speaking dutch, but it's the thought that matters.

Ajax chose to self destruct at the wrong time (at least for the Dutch coefficient)

[–] poklane@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

AZ also has been quite bad so far, and I think many of us expected more from PSV as well.

Astana's victory in Balkani got them above Ireland and Finland and Klaksvik's win with Ljubljana got them over Vaduz)))

[–] YoungDawz@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

France clutched up

[–] JJOne101@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Serbia losing that second CL spot this week (one week earlier than expected).

POLAND TOP 20 AND OVER CROATIA UPVOTE PARTY

[–] Brock_Samsonite@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Albania are top of their table but are rated below Faroe Islands and Moldova, whom are in their table. I dont understand.

[–] IWantThe8th@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This isnt for the national team, its for the clubs and albanian league is just shit while the national team is decent because every player plays outside of the albanian league

[–] veimkha@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The clusters:

  1. England
  2. Spain Italy Germany
  3. Netherlands France Portugal
  4. Belgium Turkey Scotland Austria
[–] Kindly_Seesaw6759@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Nahh switch Spain n England Spain have 5 teams in ucl

[–] arc1261@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

England has been very consistently the top league for the past 3/4 years and will stay so for a while because it has at least 5/6 teams that can and usually will go deep in every single competition they are in - you can’t say the same about Spain, where it’s much more fraught.

Example : even in what is a pretty weak CL set for England this year (Newcastle and United are not that proven in Europe) you would expect to see at least 3 go through from the groups, as well as Liverpool in the EL as well as at least one of WHam or Brighton, and Villa will be good in the Conference.

It’s just a lot of depth all expected to win a decent amount of games

POUR LE COEFF

[–] Schnix54@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

So how is it for next year? The two best-performing nations get an extra CL spot, right? So we are basically hoping for deep runs for both Frankfurt and Leverkusen at this point which does seem realistic but at the same time would be a novum for German football.

[–] IWantThe8th@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Yes 2 performing leagues, you would have a good chance if it wasnt for union

Well, it was good while it lasted. In a year and a half it's back to the 1st/2nd round of qualifiers...

[–] BendubzGaming@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Turkey and Belgium holding onto the extra league performance spots as things stand, just as we all expected

[–] pashtedot@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

epl is the superleague

[–] Dynetor@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Ah yes, 42nd place for the Irish Premiership. Below even Faroe Islands who have a population of about 13

[–] shazeus7@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

How did Russia get points in 22/23 even though they are banned?
